My first semester of my freshman year has been different but worthwhile. I’m learning a lot about myself and the history of the school. The transition from high school to college is was different especially from not living at home. At college you learn how to appreciate a home cook meal from home. The Cafe & wellness food is good but you just realize that you had it good at home.
Living accommodations is very different in college as a freshman in college but trust me it will get better. Living in Hansberry has showed me that everyone doesn’t live the way you live. Which you learn how to roll with it and make the best of your experience.
I’ve learned that Lincoln University is such a homeless environment. It’s a love hate relationship with the surrounding area around the school but it’s just something us city folks gotta learn to adapt.
Literally everybody knows everybody, so it’s very easy to build connections and network. Joining the campus tour guides and being apart of the Women's Volleyball team has been an amazing experience. I have honestly enjoyed my first semester of college; I can’t wait to see what spring semester has for me.
